Delivering the government's plan of action
The government's Climate Action Plan was released on 17th June 2019. This plan explicitly sets out sectoral targets which, if achieved, will see Ireland meeting its 2030 targets. The government intends to update this plan every year, reviewing progress on implementation and potential new policies and measures.
State mitigation and decarbonisation objectives drive local mitigation action in our organisation. That is why we are now integrating the climate mitigation needs of this plan across all our policies and programmes.
We are committed to devising strategies that will reduce, manage and mitigate climate disruption risks over time.
