Meet the team

We are on a shared mission to protect, manage and conserve Ireland's inland fisheries and sea angling resources, and to maximise their sustainability and natural biodiversity.

So, who are we?

Our organisation comprises many people performing many different roles, all focussed on one mission: to protect Ireland's fisheries and sea angling resources for the benefit of future generations.

We are Fisheries Officers, Environmental Officers, Inspectors and Assistant Inspectors, Angling Advisors, Researchers, Scientists, Assistants, Education and Outreach Officers, Project Officers, Functional Area Support Teams, Senior Managers and more.

Our team is dynamic and can vary in size between 300 and 400 people, depending on how many seasonal team members join us every year. Our headquarters are in Citywest, Co. Dublin and our teams are based all around the country in areas called River Basin Districts.

And what do we all have in common?

In a nutshell, “It’s all about the fish!”

We are all passionate about fish, the sustainability of the habitats they live in and the quality of water they swim in.
