Seasonal Fisheries Officers work alongside full-time Fishery Officers, sharing responsibilities such as helping recreational anglers understand the rules and regulations and/ or building and maintaining structures to improve access to waterways. If you are interested in a long-term career in Fisheries, seasonal opportunities are a great way to gain experience and knowledge and learn the required skills.
Seasonal Fisheries Research Assistants work in our Research and Development Department on a range of research projects. These roles mainly involve assisting the Senior Research Officers and their teams in the collection, ordering, and analysis of relevant biological and physical data in the aquatic environment.
Both our Seasonal Fisheries Officers and Seasonal Fishery Research Assistants are 6-month contracts which normally commence in April/May. Recruitment for these posts usually starts in January. Please check back here in early 2022.
