IFI Statement of Strategy 2026–2030
Submissions to Inland Fisheries Ireland's Statement of Strategy process for 2026-2030
IFI’s valued partners and key stakeholders are invited to participate in the development of our new Strategic Plan for 2026 – 2030.
This public consultation opens on Friday, 05/09/2025 at 2:00pm and closes on Friday, 17/10/2025 at 11:59pm
IFI is the State environment agency responsible for protecting, managing and conserving Ireland's inland fisheries and sea angling resources. As we look ahead to our new plan, we are keen to take this opportunity to set the direction for how IFI will continue to position the State’s inland fisheries and sea angling resources as sustainably as possible for the benefit of future generations.
As Ireland, like the rest of the world, continues to experience the detrimental effects of climate change, our work has never been more important.
At IFI, we recognise that the insights and perspectives of our stakeholders are crucial in crafting a strategy that is not only innovative and forward-looking but also grounded in the realities of the environment we work in. Your experience, knowledge, and unique viewpoint would provide invaluable contributions to this process.
We are seeking your input in several key areas:
- Provide your perspective on the proposed Vision, Mission, and Values for IFI over the next 5 years.
- Are the proposed 4 Strategic Priorities and accompanying Initiatives and Outcomes appropriate?
- Are the proposed 4 Strategic Enablers with Key Priorities appropriate?
- In your view are there any areas or issues not represented in the strategy that should be?
- Provide any further general comments on the draft Statement of Strategy
Next Steps
To facilitate your involvement, we would welcome the submission of your views via the questionnaire below by Friday October 17th, 2025. In order to manage and consider the feedback of all our stakeholders effectively, an online submission to the questionnaire below is preferred. We believe that a collaborative approach will lead to a stronger, more resilient strategy to guide the years ahead, and we thank you for your time and consideration.
