Update on Designated Salmonid Waters Bye-Law No.964
Monday, 25th of February 2019: Inland Fisheries Ireland awaits official confirmation on the outcome of legal proceedings regarding the challenge of a Fisheries Bye-law intended to designate seven state-owned lakes to be managed primarily for the benefit of wild brown trout.
Inland Fisheries Ireland understands that the Department of Communications, Climate Action and the Environment is to reflect on the legal advice given and on the outcome of proceedings in the context of intended Bye-laws.
