Information Notice: Review of Pike Management Operations

Inland Fisheries Ireland has temporarily suspended pike management operations in designated wild brown trout fisheries.

IFI is currently undertaking a review of the necessary standard operating procedures for these operations and will resume stock management as these are completed. The review in the first instance will concentrate on boat electrofishing and subsequently all other stock management methodologies.  

IFI is committed to the implementation of the existing Brown Trout and Pike polices.

Trout Conservation in designated Brown Trout Fisheries

Following a review of the standard operating procedures regarding stock management in designated wild brown trout fisheries, IFI will resume operations with immediate effect in line with the Brown Trout and Pike Policies.
