The project is at Phase 6 Construction Stage having received planning consent from Waterford City & County Council in July 2023; A contractor has been appointed and construction is due for completion in summer 2026.

The rock ramp fish passage solution will greatly enhance fish passage on this important river system and lead to improved spawning outcomes for a range of fish species that inhabit the system.
