The project is currently at Phase 1 Feasibility Study and Option Selection with a consultant appointed to the project. Due to January 2026 flooding along the River Slaney, further bathymetric and topographic surveys were required as the weir was altered during this event. 

The assessment is on course to be completed by the end of Q2 2026.
