So, who are we?
Our organisation comprises many people performing many different roles, all focused on one mission: to protect Ireland's fisheries and sea angling resources for the benefit of future generations.
We are Fisheries Officers, Environmental Officers, Inspectors and Assistant Inspectors, Angling Advisors, Researchers, Scientists, Assistants, Education and Outreach Officers, Project Officers, Functional Area Support Teams, Senior Managers and more.
Our CEO is Eamonn Kelly.
Our organisation comprises 7 River Basin Districts, which each have an office headquarters in cities around the country, listed below:
- Eastern River Basin District (ERBD) – Dublin
- South Eastern River Basin District (SERBD) – Clonmel
- South Western River Basin District (SWRBD) – Macroom
- Shannon River Basin District (SRBD) – Limerick
- Western River Basin District (WRBD) – Galway
- Western River Basin District (WRBD) – Ballina
- North Western River Basin District (NWRBD) - Ballyshannon

Our team is dynamic and can vary in size between 300 and 400 people, depending on how many seasonal team members join us every year. Our headquarters are in Citywest, Co. Dublin and our teams are based all around the country in areas called River Basin Districts.
