Loughros estuary commercial salmon draft net fishing season 2021
Inland Fisheries Ireland is seeking submissions in relation to a proposal to restrict the commercial salmon draft net fishery on the Loughros estuary, Co. Donegal in 2021 to fishing between the 1st July and 21st July.
The proposed changes are to reflect the limited overall salmon quota available for 2021 and the number of commercial draft nets available. An overall surplus of 199 salmon has been advised to be divided between the commercial draft net and the recreational salmon angling sectors.
The commercial draft net season normally opens on the 12th May and closes on the 31st July.
