IFI Fish Farms

The aim of the IFI's fish stock management programmes is to restore fish populations in those fisheries which have been affected by pollution, fish kills and other problems. Fish stock management has also been used to enhance the angling status of a fishery. The IFI fish farms rear brown trout and  rainbow trout.

The farms operate commercially and sell fish to clubs and private fisheries.

How to order fish

Brown trout and Rainbow trout are reared to a variety of sizes (ova, unfed fry, feeding fry, summerlings, Autumn fingerlings, Spring yearlings, Summer yearlings, Spring 2 year olds, Summer 2 year olds and adults) but are subject to availability. Orders can be made here.

Current Price Lists

A round trip delivery charge € 1.50 per km will apply. This charge relates to deliveries completed during normal working hours, additional charges will be made if a delivery requires overtime payment. Delivery charges are subject to change in the event of increased fuel prices.

Trout Price List 2012

Price per 1,000 in Euro.
Spring = 01 January - 30 April; Summer = 01 May - 30 June; Autumn = 01 July onwards.
Price of each adult fish depends on age and size.
