Programme Director - NSAD
Inland Fisheries Ireland is the state agency with responsibility for the protection, conservation, management, development and promotion of Ireland’s inland fisheries and sea angling resource.
The National Strategy for Angling Development (NSAD) has been developed by Inland Fisheries Ireland (IFI) and is the first comprehensive national framework for the development of Irelands angling resource. The strategy was launched in 2015 and has seen significant funding being made available for investment in the sector.
To help implement the various projects that are part of the NSAD, Inland Fisheries Ireland is seeking to hire an ambitious Programme Director. This exciting role requires a strong communicator who has vision, a strong commitment to excellence and the proven ability to deliver a diverse range of public sector projects across a complex set of requirements and multiple stakeholder groups.
As Programme Director you will be responsible for running the project office, leading your team to deliver on the various funding schemes, transferring a project management approach to existing and new fisheries development projects across the organisation ; ensuring best practice in financial and environmental governance. You will be responsible for coaching and mentoring both your team and fisheries development participants, ensuring that they are equipped with all the essential knowledge and dedication to bring the projects in on time and within budget.
