Inland Fisheries Ireland (IFI) is the state agency responsible for the protection, management and conservation of Ireland’s inland fisheries and sea angling resources. IFI is seeking applications from suitably qualified candidates for the following position
Programme Director, National Strategy for Angling Development (NSAD)
Based in IFI Headquarters at Citywest, Dublin, the appointee will be responsible for development and implementation of a National Strategy for Angling Development Implementation Programme for the Inland Fisheries sector. He/she will work under the guidance and direction of the NSAD Implementation Committee, and will be responsible for the delivery of all elements of the programme as determined by the committee. This includes the planning, process development implementation and reporting/corporate governance requirements associated with the programme. Reporting on operational matters will be to the Head of Business Development.
Education and Experience
The successful candidate will possess a relevant honours Degree and/or Masters/Post Graduate Diploma in an appropriate qualification. He /she will have at least eight years satisfactory post graduate experience, including for a period of not less than six years satisfactory experience relevant to the requirements of this post.
There will be a requirement for travel nationwide.
The salary scale for the post is:
€57,796, €62,052, €64,218, €65,000, €65,154, €67,373, €69,593 €70,867 (LSI 1) €73,109, (LSI 2) €75,348. (Appointment will normally be made at the 1st point on this scale)
Appointment to this position will be on a permanent basis.
