Research Officer - Lagarosiphon (Re-advertised)

Be responsible for the delivery of a specific scientific research programme to support efforts to control the invasive plant Lagarosiphon major (curly weaved waterweed) on Lough Corrib in conjunction with the relevant technician.

The research programme on Lagarosiphon in Lough Corrib will involve a significant element of field survey work in Co. Galway. The project will require flexibility regarding working hours.

The position will based in our Head Office in CityWest (Dublin) and therefore travelling to Lough Corrib on a daily/weekly basis will be a requirement.

Specific purpose contract – 1 year

The role of the Human Resources Business Partner is an important role within IFI, with overall responsibility for leading and delivering a broad range of strategic and operational projects to achieve IFI’s corporate and people strategies. The purpose of this post is to support, guide and advise senior management and people managers while ensuring that people are at the heart of decision making. The HRBP will work alongside the business to deliver on operational objectives and will have a national remit.

Programme Director, National Strategy for Angling Development (NSAD)- Dublin

The appointee will be part of the IFI Senior Leadership Team and be responsible for ongoing development, implementation and review of the National Strategy for Angling Development. S/he will work under the guidance and direction of the NSAD Implementation Group, and will be responsible for the delivery of all elements of the programme as determined by the committee.
