Fisheries Awareness Week runs each year in early summer. Its main aims are to encourage adults and children alike who may never have fished before to take up a new hobby. To achieve this aim IFI works with angling clubs and organisations to promote all types of angling. IFI also uses this platform to  promote its role in protecting and conserving our fisheries resource.

In 2011 Fisheries Awareness Week ran from 7 – 15^th May and was judged by all to be a great success. IFI would like to thank everybody who attended and took part in the events.
