On the Glen River, approximately 550 metres of selective river bank clearance was undertaken, de-compacting and addition of gravel, the construction of 4 stone deflectors and the upgrading of existing deflectors was undertaken.

On the Owencarrow River approximately 150 metres of selective river bank clearance was undertaken along the lower sections of this river upstream of Glen Lough to facilitate sunlight penetration to the river bed.  This will encourage the growth of vegetation on the river bed providing suitable habitat for macro invertebrate populations which in turn provide a suitable food source for salmonids.  Works will also include the construction and repairing of fencing to prevent livestock from accessing and damaging the river bank.

On the Glassneseeargh River, this river was severely overgrown with trees/vegetation and heavily polluted with old discarded household waste.  The waste was removed and approximately 400 meters of vegetation was debrushed on both river banks.  All cuttings were removed and discarded appropriately.

On the Calaber River one kilometer of river bank was debrused, with breaks created to facilitate sunlight penetration.
